According to German and European law, NMN (nicotinamide mononucleotide) is a chemical that is not suitable for human consumption. Find out more in our safety data sheet
At youngle , quality comes first. A US study recently examined the quality of products from 22 different suppliers and came to the sobering conclusion that more than half offered either no real NMN or only low-quality NMN.
For us, transparency is not an empty promise, but a basic requirement, especially when it comes to the quality of our products. We subject each of our products, including NMN, to both internal and external quality controls. Our manufacturer and the independent Arotop laboratories at Limbach Analytics in Mainz, Germany, test and certify each product for purity and heavy metal content. You can view NMN’s analysis certificates here. We invite you to convince yourself of the quality of our products
youngle was founded by physicians with years of expertise in preventive medicine who are passionate about advancing longevity research and the science of aging.
As medical experts, we understand the vital importance of reliable purity and top quality. That's why every step of the production of our products is strictly monitored and controlled to ensure that we offer the highest quality products on the market. In addition, we subject each batch of products to further analysis in addition to quality control during the manufacturing process.
Our mission is to advance the findings of longevity research and make them easily accessible to enable people to live longer, healthier lives. We believe that scientific research is the key to achieving this goal.
Nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN), which is involved in the biosynthesis of NAD+ in all living organisms, is the direct precursor of this molecule. NAD+, whose concentration decreases over time in organisms, plays a role in many cellular processes. Research into NMN has gained in importance and intensity worldwide in recent years.
Beta-nicotinamide mononucleotide acts as an intermediate in the biosynthesis of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, better known as NAD+. However, according to German and European law, NMN (nicotinamide mononucleotide) is considered a chemical that is not approved for human consumption. Therefore, it is used exclusively for scientific studies, research and laboratory tests in the life science sector.
The production of NMN requires a complex process, which currently leads to high manufacturing costs. Nicotinamide riboside (NR) is used as the starting material, to which a phosphate group is added. This step, called phosphorylation, is assisted by special chemicals and changes the NR to NMN. After the NMN is created, unwanted byproducts that may have been produced during the initial reaction are removed. Lastly, the NMN created is tested to ensure it is pure and has the correct chemical structure. Special analysis techniques such as mass spectrometry or NMR spectroscopy are used for this.
For optimal storage, NMN should be kept cool, dry and protected from direct sunlight and heat. An article on the stability of NMN at different storage temperatures can be found here. Please make sure to store the product out of the reach of children.
youngle's stand-up pouches offer a practical solution for safe storage. They effectively protect the NMN from high temperatures, sunlight and moisture. After opening the packaging, it is important to always close the bag with the ziplock to ensure the high product quality even after opening the packaging.
NMN is characterized by its high stability and has a shelf life of around two years in a closed bag. You can find an article examining the stability of NMN here. The specific expiration date for your product is listed on the back of the stand-up pouch. You can view additional information and details on the product page.
The remaining 1% consists of nicotinamide riboside (NR) and nicotinamide (Nam). NR serves as the source material for NMN production, while nicotinamide is formed as a degradation product. Therefore both substances are harmless.
Pure NMN powder is naturally hygroscopic. This means that over time it can absorb ambient moisture and therefore lose its usual consistency. This does not affect the functionality of NMN. To ensure that this does not happen, we offer our NMN powder in a total of 6 different sizes, with each individual pack containing a maximum of 30 g.
